The GT2 Green Tomahawk is Promediagear’s second generation of add-on camera gimbal heads. It is a sturdy yet versatile product built for anyone with a small or big telephoto lens.

From entry-level photographers looking for a more affordable way to balance their cameras to professionals looking for a lightweight and easy-to-travel addition to their gear, the GT2 Green Tomahawk can fit nearly any photo shoot. 

A standout feature of the GT2 is its 90-degree dual Arca-compatible slots present along the bottom and side of its base, allowing the user to attach the GT2 to Arca-compatible ball heads and other bases in a myriad of ways. 

Each of these slots is also embedded with two screw slots (standard ⅜”-16 and ¼”-20) allowing for the GT2 to be attached to nearly any monopod or tripod head on the market.

A Superb Gimbal Accessory for Sharp Bird (and Other) Photography!

The PMG GT2G Tomahawk is an exemplary gimbal accessory for any Arca-Swiss compatible ball head. On a Leofoto tripod with LH-40 ball head, or an iFootage Cobra ll Monopod, it mounts effortlessly and extremely solidly. Once attached to a ball head or monopod, the Tomahawk supports a telephoto lens, in my case, a Nikkor Z 180-600 f/5.6-6.3 telephoto zoom extremely well, and offers very smooth rotation and tilt, with a fine drag adjustment. The CNC machining is superb, and I believe the rated 50 lb load capacity. This makes tracking birds (BIF) quite enjoyable! Obviously very highly recommended!

yes please …..

the ability to transform a ball head to a gimbal? yes please, I’ll take one …. 75% of my shooting is handheld, but for that other 25% this is perfectly logical way to go ….. and I love that it breaks down farther for ease of carry and just fits my current tripod bag
