Overview

The ProMediaGear PLNMBD18 L-Bracket for Nikon D850 works specifically with the Nikon MB-D18 battery grip. This L-bracket fits the camera perfectly without covering any of the available ports. Besides that, it fits the camera tightly like a glove.

Moreover, the best feature of this L-bracket is its two-piece design. A vertical piece extends to allow cable connection. Meanwhile, the horizontal camera plate works with any Arca-compatible clamp.

In terms of durability, ProMediaGear manufactures its L-bracket from a solid T6061 aluminum block. Also, it also has a black-anodized scratch-resistant finish. Hence, the paint job lasts longer than regular paint.

If you have a Nikon D850, then this bracket is worth considering. However, it only works with the Nikon MB-D18 grip. Other third-party grips will not fit perfectly. 

But, there's a workaround to it. You may opt for the ProMediaGear PLX4X Universal L-Bracket instead. It functions the same. However, it does not fit as tightly as the PLNMBD18.

Lastly, the ProMediaGear PLND850 L-bracket for Nikon D850 works without a battery grip. Of course, the custom camera plate helps with the best camera fit too.

Excellent product!

I don’t know why I waited so long! This L- bracket is perfect in every way, performing its function and allowing access to battery ports, etc. it hasn’t left my D850 since i installed it. It arrived quickly and was packaged well. Bravo…5 stars for sure.

Solid and brilliant modular design

I have 6 PMG L brackets for my Z5, D850 and D500, two for each camera (one each used with battery pack/vertical grips and one each without). That alone should say something. They are all very solid, precisely machined to PMG's very high standards. They fit my cameras perfectly and I love the built-in features: 1) magnetic storage for the allen wrench. 2) the slide out portion makes it even easier to access ports and position the camera vertically without interference from cables. I index marked the 2 rods with a silver pen so I can quickly and consistently reposition the upright portion of the bracket. 3) strap loops compatible with traditional straps and quick release designs, including Peak's wonderful straps. 4) QD/SSP strap ports making these even more versatile. PMG's L brackets are the first accessory I buy with every new camera.

On the very rare occasion that a part is incorrect or missing, most US based companies are uninterested in helping foreign customers.
PMG are different.
One part of this order was very slightly incorrect. When notified on a Friday afternoon of the problem, a replacement was moving within the hour and arrived in the UK on Monday morning.
