Overview

The ProMediaGear PLX4x Universal L-Bracket is perfect for cameras with a battery grip. It fits large cameras with a vertical grip regardless of brand.

This bracket is compatible with Arca-Swiss clamps. This means you can use it with any Arca-compatible tripods, monopods, and other accessories. However, it is best used with ProMediaGear carbon fiber tripods.

ProMediaGear uses aircraft-grade T6061 Aluminum for this bracket. It is lightweight and durable. Plus, it has a black-anodized scratch-resistant finish.

There are two parts to this L-bracket. The vertical plate extends to fit the camera body. Unlike other brackets, the vertical part extends to free up the cable ports. Besides that, the battery compartment remains accessible.

Lastly, this bracket has an integrated SS2 or QD camera strap port. With the right attachments, you can convert your camera to a tiny rig.

Despite the universal compatibility, cameras without battery grips do not work with the PLX4x. The vertical part is too tall for shorter camera bodies.

Nice piece of kit

This is a very nice, well thought out universal L-bracket. It’s long enough on the vertical to fit my Fujifilm X-H2 w/ battery grip attached. It is secure and plenty rigid for its purpose. It is nicely finished and very nice esthetically - especially at this price-point.

Quality Endures

This is the second ProMediaGear PLX4x that I have purchased. The first was for my Canon 80D with battery grip. The second one I purchased was for my new Canon 5DMKIV. Before I got into digital photography, I had never even heard of an L-bracket. Diligent research and careful reading banished my ignorance and led me to ProMediaGear. It is well engineered, finely built, full featured, and beautifully finished. Why, you may ask, didn't I just buy the one and switch it from camera to camera as needed? Well, I like to keep it on all the time because It makes such a convenient handle for gripping the camera with my left hand. I have the universal style, which would allow switching back and forth, but I just don't choose to go that route. There are other good L=brackets available, but none any better than PMG. In addition to being well built, it is the attention to small details like safety stops at each end of the base plate and the vertical bracket, and the magnetic allen wrench pocket. You just can't go wrong with a finely crafted piece of camera gear like this. And the price is unbeatable for what you get.

PLX4x for Canon R6

Perfect fit for Canon R6 with the Canon battery grip. The offset left side bracket is forward of the camera’s access ports, no problem plugging in accessories, HDMI cords, intervelometers, etc. Can easily rotate and adjust the articulating rear screen without the bracket getting the way.
